Clerk, manager of the South Workman, business agent, secretary to Hampton Institute, clerk of the Board of Trustees, and permanent secretary of the Board of Trustees until his death in 1943.
Mr. Hyde was one of the original incorporators of Hampton Institute and it is recorded that he was never absent from a meeting of the board in the eleven years he was a trustee, from 1870-1881.
Architect. Educated in the public schools of Detroit, Michigan, he received his B.A. from Cornell in 1890. From 1893-1895 he studied in France and became dean of the College of Architecture at Cornell, a position he held from 1897-1902.
Mr. Mann was appointed secretary of the State Committee on Agriculture. In 1917 he became dean of the New York State College of Agriculture, a position he held until 1931.
